Windows 11 L2TP/IPSec VPN

Configure SSTV VPN on Windows 11 using the built-in VPN settings

Before you start

Windows 11 SE does not provide this built-in VPN feature. Ask the device administrator which VPN client is supported on that edition.

Copy your VPN username and password from the dashboard. These service credentials can differ from your SSTV sign-in details. Your VPN access must be active.

ServerAddress
SEse.sstv.se
SE1se1.sstv.se
UKuk.sstv.se
NOno.sstv.se
FIfi.sstv.se
DEde.sstv.se
USus.sstv.se

L2TP/IPsec: get the pre-shared key from the dashboard. Your VPN username and password are on the account page. SoftEther uses TCP 992 and hub DEFAULT. The SE and SE1 OpenVPN profiles use UDP 1194; other country profiles use TCP 465 or 443.

Add the connection

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → VPN → Add VPN.
  2. Select Windows (built-in) as provider and name the connection SSTV.
  3. Enter a server address from the table above.
  4. Choose L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key, then enter the key from your configurations.
  5. Choose Username and password and enter your VPN credentials. Save.

Connect and disconnect

Return to Settings → Network & internet → VPN, select SSTV and click Connect. Wait for Connected before opening your application. Select Disconnect in the same place when finished.

If it fails, check the VPN credentials, key and active access. Complete any public Wi-Fi sign-in first. If the network blocks L2TP/IPsec, try OpenVPN or SoftEther. Do not switch to PPTP or disable your firewall.

See Microsoft's VPN instructions for the Windows interface.
