OpenVPN
Download the current SSTV OpenVPN profiles and connect with your VPN credentials
Download availability
OpenVPN downloads are enabled after the server pools have been verified. If a link reports that downloads are unavailable, contact support in the dashboard or choose another connection method your device supports. Do not reuse old profiles instead.
Download a profile
These are SSTV's current infrastructure profiles. Both use OpenVPN over UDP 1194 and include the certificate authority and server-name validation settings.
| Profile | Download |
|---|---|
| Sweden | se.sstv.se.ovpn |
| Sweden alternative | se1.sstv.se.ovpn |
Save with the .ovpn extension. Do not replace the certificate settings. Replace older SSTV profiles using port 465 with these files.
Import and connect
- Install OpenVPN Connect for Windows, macOS, Android or iOS from the publisher's platform link.
- Download a profile above on that device.
- Add a profile from a file in the client. Select the downloaded .ovpn file and confirm.
- Enter your VPN username and password from the dashboard. You do not need the IPsec key.
- Connect, approve the operating system's VPN permission if requested, and wait for a connected status.
- Disconnect in the client when finished.
See the publisher's file-import instructions if the buttons differ.
Other clients
Use the dedicated guides for Android and iPhone/iPad. Import the complete profile rather than copying just a hostname.
Troubleshooting
- Authentication failed: check the VPN credentials and active access.
- Timeout: finish any public Wi-Fi sign-in and try another network. OpenVPN needs outbound UDP 1194. On Windows, SoftEther provides a TCP alternative.
- Unknown option: update the client or firmware. Do not remove certificate verification or weaken encryption.
- Certificate error: check the device clock, download a fresh profile and contact support if it persists.
Give the alternative profile a distinct name. Disconnect the first before connecting the second. No separate client certificate or password file is supplied; enter VPN credentials in the client.
