iPhone and iPad VPN
Install an SSTV Apple VPN profile or import OpenVPN on iPhone and iPad
Install the Apple profile
Install from a familiar location. If Stolen Device Protection prevents installation elsewhere, follow Apple's profile instructions. Restore any protection you temporarily change after installation.
- Sign in to the dashboard in Safari and find your VPN credentials.
- Download the Sweden Apple profile or Sweden alternative Apple profile. Allow the download.
- Open Settings → Profile Downloaded, or look in General → VPN & Device Management.
- Review SSTV's settings, choose Install and enter the device passcode if prompted.
- Select SSTV under General → VPN & Device Management → VPN, enter your VPN password if requested and connect.
Disconnect with the VPN control. Keep the profile private; it includes your VPN username, VPN password and the shared IPsec key. Do not share or forward the file. Remove it under VPN & Device Management → SSTV → Remove Profile. Install within eight minutes of downloading. iOS deletes an uninstalled profile after that deadline; download it again if it expires.
See Apple's profile installation instructions.
OpenVPN alternative
- Install OpenVPN Connect from the App Store using the publisher's download link.
- Save an SSTV profile from the OpenVPN guide to Files.
- Add it with Upload File in OpenVPN Connect.
- Enter your SSTV VPN credentials, connect and allow the VPN configuration when prompted.
- Disconnect using the profile switch.
Use file import instead of URL import. For transfer problems, see OpenVPN's iOS file-transfer help.
Connection problems
Confirm active access and the VPN credentials in your dashboard. Complete Wi-Fi sign-in and disconnect other VPNs first. If L2TP/IPsec is blocked, use OpenVPN. If OpenVPN times out, try another network.
