Other devices and manual configuration
Use SSTV Proxy on devices that support automatic proxy configuration
Before you begin
Register from the same public IPv4 connection as the target device. Pause VPNs, proxies and IP-hiding services such as iCloud Private Relay before registering, and keep them paused while automatic IP updates run. A browser on mobile data or another connection registers a different address.
IP registration requires active SSTV access and a public IPv4 address. If the update is unavailable or rejected, check these prerequisites before changing device settings.
Connect to the network you will use for streaming. Sign in to your dashboard and use the IP update button under Proxy. Wait for confirmation; signing in alone does not register the address.
The PAC file https://sstv.se/se.pac selects which domains use SSTV. Other websites keep your normal connection. The setting applies only to applications that use it and does not replace a VPN.
Configure
- Open the device's network settings and look for Automatic proxy, PAC URL, or Proxy configuration script.
- Enter
https://sstv.se/se.pacas the full URL. Save and restart the application. - A PAC URL is not a proxy server address and cannot be entered in a manual server/port field. This guide uses automatic configuration; the dashboard supplies the PAC URL.
- If the device does not support automatic proxy configuration, use SmartDNS for TVs and other devices.
Consult the manufacturer's manual for your model. Consumer Apple TV and many Smart TVs do not expose an ordinary PAC setting. Avoid copying proxy addresses or ports from old guides.
Check and troubleshoot
Close and reopen the browser or app. Try the service you want to use and follow check your connection if needed. A general IP-check website can still show your normal address because the PAC file sends only selected domains through the proxy.
Update the Proxy address again after changing networks or when your provider changes your IP. Use the IP update button in the dashboard.
Turn it off
Remove the PAC URL or select No proxy, then restore the previous network settings.
