Configure SSTV Proxy in Chrome using your operating system’s PAC settings
Before you begin
Register from the same public IPv4 connection as the target device. Pause VPNs, proxies and IP-hiding services such as iCloud Private Relay before registering, and keep them paused while automatic IP updates run. A browser on mobile data or another connection registers a different address.
IP registration requires active SSTV access and a public IPv4 address. If the update is unavailable or rejected, check these prerequisites before changing device settings.
Connect to the network you will use for streaming. Sign in to your dashboard and use the IP update button under Proxy. Wait for confirmation; signing in alone does not register the address.
The PAC file https://sstv.se/se.pac selects which domains use SSTV. Other websites keep your normal connection. The setting applies only to applications that use it and does not replace a VPN.
Configure
Chrome uses the operating system's proxy settings. No browser extension is required.
- In Chrome, open Settings, search for proxy, and open your computer's proxy settings.
- Follow the Windows guide or macOS guide to set the automatic configuration URL to
https://sstv.se/se.pac. - Save the system settings and restart Chrome.
These settings may also affect other browsers and apps on the computer. For settings limited to one browser, use Firefox. On phones and tablets, use the Android or iPhone/iPad guide.
Check and troubleshoot
Close and reopen the browser or app. Try the service you want to use and follow check your connection if needed. A general IP-check website can still show your normal address because the PAC file sends only selected domains through the proxy.
Update the Proxy address again after changing networks or when your provider changes your IP. Use the IP update button in the dashboard.
Turn it off
Turn off the PAC/setup script in your operating system, following the guide for your platform. Restore any proxy settings your network previously required.
