Mozilla Firefox
Configure SSTV Proxy in Firefox with an automatic proxy configuration URL
Before you begin
Register from the same public IPv4 connection as the target device. Pause VPNs, proxies and IP-hiding services such as iCloud Private Relay before registering, and keep them paused while automatic IP updates run. A browser on mobile data or another connection registers a different address.
IP registration requires active SSTV access and a public IPv4 address. If the update is unavailable or rejected, check these prerequisites before changing device settings.
Connect to the network you will use for streaming. Sign in to your dashboard and use the IP update button under Proxy. Wait for confirmation; signing in alone does not register the address.
The PAC file https://sstv.se/se.pac selects which domains use SSTV. Other websites keep your normal connection. The setting applies only to applications that use it and does not replace a VPN.
Configure
- Open Firefox Settings and search for proxy. Open the Connection Settings dialog using Settings or Configure proxy, depending on your version.
- Select Automatic proxy configuration URL.
- Enter
https://sstv.se/se.pacand save with OK. - If you previously used the same URL, use Reload to refresh the PAC file.
This guide is for desktop Firefox on Windows, macOS and Linux. It changes Firefox only. Use your device guide for mobile proxy settings.
Check and troubleshoot
Close and reopen the browser or app. Try the service you want to use and follow check your connection if needed. A general IP-check website can still show your normal address because the PAC file sends only selected domains through the proxy.
Update the Proxy address again after changing networks or when your provider changes your IP. Use the IP update button in the dashboard.
Turn it off
Select No proxy in the same dialog, or restore Use system proxy settings if your network needs its usual proxy.
